Book of the Month

21 lessons for the 21st century. Yuval Noah Harari. This is not the first time I have recommended Harari (click here) and most likely it will not be the last. The author’s first sentence in the book’s introduction says it all: “In a world flooded with irrelevant information, clarity means power”. Such is the goal of Harari in 21 lessons for the 21st century: To bring some light and practical thinking based on data and fact to today’s big topics such as technology, politics, education, post truth, religion, freedom… After the fall of the three big storytellings which nurtured the 20th century (fascism, communism, liberalism), there’s an urge to build a new global one, here and now, which guides us in our next steps as a civilisation starting from a very clear assumption: no one has only one identity.
