Book of the month

Rework. Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Hansson.Have you ever read a book and feel so in sync with the author that you agree with him/her out loud when you read specific sentences that move you? This happens to me with Rework. Well, it is also true that I am a big fan of Jason Fried, who co-wrote this book with David Heinemeier. Based in Chicago, Fried is one of the founders of BaseCamp, the company which runs and gives its name to an awesome project management software designed for remote teams. Beyond his product, I consider Fried one of the most resonant and inspiring voices regarding people and organisations. His opinions, podcasts and articles are much more relevant to me than the literature of many typical hr bloggers, as famous as they may be.
Rework is a book about how to challenge status quo using simple logical thinking. Here you have an example: “This would never work in the real world”. You hear it all the time when you tell people about a new idea. (…) The real world isn’t a place. It’s an excuse. It’s a justification for not trying. It has nothing to do with you.
