The Japanese art of decluttering and organizing. <\/em><\/strong><strong>Marie Kondo.<\/strong><br \/>\nOne year ago, I posted this <a href=\"\/?p=23885\">article<\/a> where I talked about embracing frugality when designing organisational structures.<!--more--> To achieve this, I mentioned the bright Marie Kondo, who became famous thanks to the book I recommend today. It deserves a re-read in a crucial time where companies and institutions need an extra dose of inspiration to evolve from \u201corganization\u201d to \u201c<em>organicsation\u201d<\/em> to thrive in the new scenario. Most of Kondo\u2019s mantras (\u201cbefore you start, visualize your destination\u201d, \u201cpursuit simplicity\u201d, \u201ctidying is a dialogue with one\u2019s self\u201d, \u201ctreat your socks and stockings with respect\u201d, \u201cpursue ultimate simplicity\u201d or \u201cattachment to the past or anxiety about the future\u201d) might keep uncomfortable parallelisms with organisational structures converted in those old, big wardrobes stuffed with clothes which need some magic to be useful again.
