The new environment is determined by new life stages, continuous transitions, different ways to use our time, generational complexity, new relationships at home and in the workplace and, of course, a new work scheme. Traditional HR structures its programmes based upon those three stages mentioned above. And so do governments when organising their social agendas. But it\u2019s obvious that those born after 1985 live life according to the new codes and that the ones who are between them and the baby boomers (Gen X) are pretty uncomfortable with the status quo they inherited. As the authors say: <em>\u2018Companies like conformity, and simple, predictable systems are easy to run and implement (&#8230;) The individual\u2019s desire for flexibility and choice will overwhelm the company\u2019s need for systems and predictability\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To me, <em>The 100-Year Life<\/em> is as inspiring as the books by Laloux and Bauman.
